CONCORD is presenting numerous innovations from their COLLECTION 2010 at the ‘Kind + Jugend’ trade fair.
Based in Stadtsteinach, CONCORD is a byword for innovative products and superior quality. At this year’s ‘Kind + Jugend’ in Cologne CONCORD is once again presenting Kids’ Equipment that is designed to make the daily life of parents and kids brighter and easier. During the development stages CONCORD employees focus especially on meeting demands for design that looks good and also really works – in line with the slogan ‘Just add life’.
Central to the trade fair exhibition are the latest designs in the COLLECTION 2010. CONCORD child car seats, buggies and kids’ furniture are available in many new designs, and equipped with materials bearing the ‘Proved Materials’ seal. Their quality is stringently tested by CONCORD in accordance with EC 300 criteria.
In the DRIVING line CONCORD is introducing a new child car seat for Seat Group I: the CONCORD ABSORBER. With its compact design and many safety features, the CONCORD ABSORBER offers the highest level of safety. It is equipped with Double-Layer Impact Protection, a headrest with height and width adjustment, as well as Isofix for secure anchoring in the vehicle. Pared down to essential functions, the seat is exceptionally easy to operate. An interesting detail: thanks to the foot support and recessed grips in the seat shell, even small children can climb into the seat unaided. The CONCORD ABSORBER prototype is on show for the first time at the trade fair.
Last year’s trade fair innovation, the CONCORD TRANSFORMER, is meanwhile on the market as a fully fledged product in series production, and has already proved itself to be successful. Judged ‘Good’ (2.0) in tests, it is one of the best Group II/III seats according to Stiftung Warentest, ADAC and ÖAMTC 2009. The CONCORD TRANSFORMER is also one of the designs in the COLLECTION 2010 on show at the fair.
Another innovation in the important Seat Group II/III is the CONCORD LIFT CORE child car seat, a seat that deliberately takes the successful LIFT series another step forward. The seat has universal side protectors from the head through to the lap area, and offers full-length protection in the event of a side impact. The geometry and damping characteristics of the headrest have also been decisively optimised to give the child’s head and neck better protection. In addition to its comprehensive safety equipment, the CONCORD LIFT CORE’s other impressive features include optimum seat comfort, sophisticated functionality and simple operation.
The MOVING line features the two buggies CONCORD FUSION and CONCORD NEO, each with a new, especially eye-catching model. Known as FUSION QUANTUM and NEO QUANTUM, they are equipped with a matt black aluminium frame. In addition, they come with many practical accessories such as a parasol, mosquito net and carry bag. Both buggies are also available in various sets together with the Travel System components ION and SCOUT or PROTON.
The NEO CARBON MOBILITY SET has been given a new look. The set comprises the exclusive NEO CARBON buggy and two further components from the Carbon Edition, all available in gold or blue designs. The NEO CARBON buggy features innovative technology, a purist design and superb material quality. The frame is manufactured from carbon, piece by piece by hand. The buggy’s high-tech material makes it ultralight and exceptionally strong and resilient.
In the LIVING line, the CONCORD SPIN folding high chair’s appearance and functions have been revamped. The comfortable padded seat with its colourful designs contrasts delightfully with the colour of the frame. In place of the tray, the folding high chair can now also be used with the BELLY restraint bar.
As the world’s leading trade fair for baby and children’s equipment, ‘Kind + Jugend’ is the industry’s most important event of the year. From 17 to 20 September 2009 all trade visitors are warmly invited to view the latest products from around 800 exhibitors representing about 40 countries. CONCORD’s product highlights and innovations can be found in Hall 10.2, Stand B10 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre.
